2021-2022 School Year Registration
A WELCOME MASSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR

Thank you for your interest in the Woodstown-Pilesgrove School Age Child Care (SACC) program. It is our pleasure to serve the community with the provision of high quality child care in a safe, warm, nurturing environment. This handbook should serve as a guide for questions you may have on topics including,  tuition and payments, field trips, hours of operation and our disciplinary procedures. The Woodstown-Pilesgrove SACC is program is designed to be a safe and fun, but also stimulating, to meet the needs of parents and children during after school hours. The program is not an extension of the school day. Instead, it provides children with activities that help develop their physical, mental, emotional, and social needs. Our day starts with a healthy snack, followed by of a variety of activities:
-Recreation and games: usually held outside or in the gym. Games are of a physical nature that help to develop motor skills.
-Arts and crafts: where children use their creativity to make a craft.
-Reading
-Music
-Drama
-Quiet time: where children can pursue their own interests (i.e., coloring, board games, drawing, kinex) that help develop fine motor and social skills.
-Homework: focused time in (a quiet room staffed with an instructor to give assistance as needed.

Topics for our  activities come from the suggestions of children, staff, and parents. Our volunteers are always encouraged to share a hobby, skill or career with the children. The program is set up so that it mirrors a family or neighborhood play situation.

Woodstown-Pilesgrove SACC is approved by the Board of Education and is supported only by parent tuition fees and donations. We are licensed through the State of New Jersey Department of Children and Families and follow their requirements and regulations.

*Effective June 15, 2020, pursuant to Executive Order No. 149 and Executive Directive no. 20-032 all child care programs operating in the State of New Jersey must comply with the requirements detailed in Guidance for New Jersey Child Care Facilities On COVID-19 Related Health and Safety Requirements set forth by the New Jersey Department of Children and Families (DCF).
