Support Accessible Psychedelic Medicine!
The research of psychedelics for treatment in improving mental health and substance abuse disorders shows there are major benefits to them. Currently in CT, there are clinics already offering Ketamine treatment for treatment resistant depression, and a pilot program was passed in 2022 for psychedelic treatment using Psilocybin (a.k.a Magic Mushrooms) and MDMA (a.k.a ecstasy) for struggling veterans, retired first-responders, and healthcare workers.

We at Connecticut for Accessible Psychedelic Medicine (CAPM), believe there is enough research to have it legal in CT for both medical and recreational use. The CT state legislature in 2023 have attempted to pass laws that decriminalize it for recreational and medical use, but it failed.

CAPM believes that this movement should be led by those who suffer from mental health issues, ranging from PTSD to Substance Use Disorders, and those who recreationally use it. We believe no one should be incarcerated over this or be stuck to paying fines. We do not want anyone to use these drugs in unsafe conditions, amounts, and environments.

By signing this petition, you stand with us with the following legislative goals. Your info will be only used for internal use and for legislators to see how much support exist.

The following are our legislative goals for Connecticut:
1. Full Legalization of Medical Psychedelic Treatments (Only Evidence-Based Treatments)
2. Full Legalization of Psilocybin with NO fines when holding a recreational amount (Fines are punishment for poor folks)
3. State Insurance/HUSKY has to pay for treatments
4. Start a pathway to fully fund Psychedelic Therapy training to all Mental Health Professionals
5. Corporations/ Insurance Companies will not able to control the price of the drug itself or treatment. It will be determined by the State/the People.
6. If people want to start businesses on selling plant medicine, those who represent under-served communities will get priority licensure.
7. Full legalization and full protection of those who want to grow Psilocybin at home
8. Fund even more research to understand psychedelics more and where it can be applied for mental health recovery
