Consent form for filming / photography of a child under 13 years of age
Dear Parent/Carer,
Your child’s privacy is important to us. As a result of a change in UK law, in certain circumstances, we need to ask your consent before we process your child’s personal data in a particular way. This includes where we record any images of your child in circumstances which fall outside of our core function of providing education.
For example, teachers take photographs of pupils for a variety of reasons. This may be for class room displays, photographic class lists, assessment or to share with the whole school. We would also like to use these photographs for marketing and to help publicise the excellent work The Bay Learning Trust (the Trust) and Morecambe Bay Academy (the Academy) is doing – in the press, in our prospectus, in social media and on Morecambe Bay and Trust websites. To do this we need your permission to use your child’s images.
When we record photographic or video images of your child, please note that:
Their images will be collected and processed in the performance of the duties of the Academy/Trust;
their images will be held in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation / Data Protection Act 2018;
the images captured in the video recordings and/or photographs will be the copyright of the Academy/Trust and any other intellectual property which arises in the recordings will also belong to the Academy/Trust;
you (or your child when they are over 13 years old) can ask the Academy/Trust to stop using their images at any time, in which case they will not be used in future publications.
