Newcastle Lions Choir sign-ups 2022-23

Newcastle Lions Choir is open to all 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders!

We meet Wednesday mornings 8:15am-9:05am in the music room. Parents and guardians are responsible for transportation to school at 8:15am and students will be dismissed straight to class after. Rehearsals continue weekly throughout the school year.

This is a special club for students who LOVE to sing, separate from music class. We will work on vocal technique, singing in harmony, and advanced musicianship. We will work hard and they must truly enjoy it in order to commit. Like previous years of Choir, we will do EVERYTHING in our power to have Choir be a joy-filled, community-building experience. If we're not having fun...why bother?! 

If you wish to order a Choir Shirt - Please fill out Choir Shirt Order Form by January 18th. A fee (typically around $10 will be placed on your student's account). Sizing has run small in the past, you may want to size up.

As a member of the Newcastle Lions Choir, I agree to:
1. Participate with enthusiasm and a positive attitude!
2. Be present and on time for all rehearsals and potential future performances. An absence or tardy must be excused by an email. Three unexcused absences from rehearsals or one unexcused absence from a performance may result in dismissal from choir.
3. Obey all school rules while in rehearsal, traveling to and from the music room, and during performances.
4. Model excellent behavior by using good listening skills and following all directions.  

**(I understand that all Choir students are held to a very high behavior standard. With large numbers of students, it is imperative that all participants be motivated, excited and ready to work hard. ANY issues will very likely result in expulsion from Choir).
