Manuscripts submitted to PAMJ Journals are assessed by our editors and/or peer reviewers. Associate Editors are responsible for assessing submissions, selecting and inviting peer reviewers, and making editorial decisions based on the peer reviewers’ reports and their own assessment.

The PAMJ employs a single-blinded peer review process where authors do not know who the reviewer of his/her submission is, while the reviewer has all details of the authors of the manuscript and their affiliations. The full editorial policies of the PAMJ is accessible at

Associate editors should be willing to process a manuscript assign to them within 5 days of assignment. The processing include: assessing submissions, communicating with authors if necessary, selecting and inviting peer reviewers, and making editorial decisions (request revisions, accept, reject) based on the peer reviewers’ reports and/or their own assessment.

The on-boarding of associate editors will include a detailed orientation to the PAMJ editorial policies, peer-review process and the use of the PAMJ Manuscript Management Platform (The PAMJ Manuscript Hut).
