Call for Presenters
Embark on a profound journey of inspiration and collaboration at "Together We Thrive," our national conference dedicated to addressing the crucial issue of poverty. This unique gathering provides a platform for participants to delve into the experiences of those working tirelessly to uplift individuals facing poverty.
We are excited to invite dynamic and insightful speakers to contribute to the Together We Thrive Conference. Our focus is to provide a platform where strategies, tools, resources, and invaluable insights can be shared, enriching the experience of every participant.

We are SEEKING PRESENTATIONS that embody constructive approaches and effective solutions to breaking the cycle of generational poverty. Your unique position, sector, and perspective are key to offering our attendees an enriching experience.

Topic Ideas

The 4 main tracks will be for Individual, Organization, Community, and Institutional/Systems Change/Policy, doing the honorable work of eradicating poverty. 

The Workshop Team is specifically looking for best practices for both Getting Ahead and Bridges, Poverty Reduction Work through Diversity, Inclusion, and Racial Equity Lenses, Academic Research related to the impact of disrupting generational poverty, The Cliff Effect, presentations on the success of pilot groups mitigating the cliff effect or implementing universal income, ROI - Tracking Outcomes, etc. 

This is an opportunity for you to showcase your expertise and make a significant impact by contributing to a collective journey of growth and empowerment. We encourage you to challenge your audience to begin considering how the strategies and resources you share can be the springboard for their ideas. Bring your innovative ideas, successful programs, and even your challenges to the table by submitting a keynote or a breakout session presentation!

Logistics: Keynotes and Breakout sessions are one hour in length with 15 minutes for Questions & Answers. There will be a large screen and projector provided that utilizes HDMI connection which will allow you to connect your laptop for video and audio if needed. Also provided will be a microphone. The room layout will be traditional classroom style with room for approximately 25-75 participants. You will have a room host who will help with basic needs, introduce you, and provide you with an ending time warning. 

Co-Presenter: We kindly request that you arrange for a co-presenter or designate an alternate presenter who can take over the responsibilities of hosting the breakout session or keynote address in the event the primary presenter is unable to attend unexpectedly. This measure will ensure the smooth continuation of our program and uphold the quality experience our attendees expect. 

Schedule: The Conference begins the evening of Monday, October 7th. Workshops will be held on Tuesday morning and afternoon and Wednesday morning. Lunch is provided. You may be selected to speak on Tuesday or Wednesday. We will let you know by mid-June if your workshop has been selected and when it is scheduled. 

Presenters must register for the conference and will be offered a discounted registration fee.  Presenters will be responsible for all costs, including transportation, room and board, and registration.  Presenters will not be paid an honorarium and must adhere to copyright law and obtain any necessary permissions for video clips, handouts, etc.  Additional co-presenters can register at the discounted registration rate as well.  If you are selected to present, you and your co-presenter will be sent a discount code.

Handouts and Session Material: Presenters must submit HANDOUTS for the electronic booklet, slide deck, any recommended weblinks, and other materials you might have in PDF form to djennings@hagermanforward.com no later than August 31, 2024

Headshot: If selected. we would like to include a headshot of you in our electronic program for attendees, so please email djennings@hagermanforward.com by June 30, 2024. 

DEADLINE: The deadline to submit a presentation is May 31, 2024.  The Emerge Solutions conference planning committee reserves the right to accept or deny any presentation for any reason.
