Project Gamble Aware - London and South East - Zoom

CRITERIA :  Background

We are looking for members of the public to take part in a confidential discussion about betting and gambling. These interviews are taking place by


Zoom. The Dates are as outlined below:

We are looking for people to take part in an individual depth interview (for 60-75 mins) or a small group interview session (for 90 minutes). 

The client will be giving everyone who takes part in an interview a £50 Amazon or supermarket voucher as a thank you for their time, because when conducting research about gambling, clients are not allowed to give cash – hence the Amazon vouchers.

The client is looking for 3 types of participants:

·       Primary Audience – people who being low-level occasional bingo nights or scratch cards and some who are getting a bit more frequent but still not a massive issue. 

·       Secondary Audience - People who don’t gamble/have never gambled themselves but have a close friend/family member that does and it affects their lives.

·       And those - People whose gambling is having more of an impact on their lives.

 

Thursday 11th April – Depth interviews (Those that gamble on a low level)

·       Male Depth 31-40

·       Male Depth 18-34

·       Female Depth 18-30

Wednesday 17th April – Quad interviews (those that gamble on a low level)

·       Female Quad 18-44 @6:00pm – 90 mins

·       Male Quad 18-44 @8:00pm – 90 mins

Tuesday 23rd April – Those affected by Gambling

·       Mixed Gender 18-30 (males or females) - @6:00pm for 90 mins

·       Mixed Gender 31-44 (male or females) - @ 8:00pm for 90 mins

Tuesday 23rd April – Those who Gambling has impacted your life by increasing how much you gamble

·       Male Depth 18-30 – Depth interview – 8:00am – 8:00pm – any 1 hr slot

·       Male Depth 18-30 – Depth interview – 8:00am-8:00pm – any 1 hr slot

Wednesday 24th April – Females who struggle with Gambling

·       Female Depth 18-34

·       Female Depth 31-44

·       Female Depth 18-30

 

PLEASE NOTE: All to be truthful with information that is given

·       Turning up for the interview/focus group on time

·       if you have lied to qualify YOU WILL NOT BE PAID ANY INCENTIVE and YOUR RECRUITER WILL NOT BE PAID THEIR RECRUITMENT FEE

·       Any wifi issues which affects the interview may result in you receiving a reduced or no incentive

·       Using a device which has not been allowed will result in a reduced or no incentive Conducting your interview from your car will result in no incentive
