FAIR WORKPLACE NOW: April 26 Rally at UCSB
UC’s low wages and bad policies have been disrupting our lives and careers for too long — it’s time for us to disrupt their anti-worker agenda! In bargaining sessions with Postdocs, Student Researchers, and TAs, the UC admin is trying to roll back rights and benefits for all academic workers.

UC wants to:
• Keep wages low and dodge accountability for paying us late and incorrectly
• Delay justice for survivors of abuse
• Avoid meeting workers' access needs
• Weaken our union rights
• Raise the cost of healthcare (for Postdocs)
• Weaken protections against overwork (for TAs)

On April 26th, academic workers are taking action across all campuses to show UC that we’re fed up with their misplaced priorities. Across all units, we are united in our demands:
• Eliminate rent burden
• Create an inclusive and safe workplace for all
• Improve accessibility for workers with disabilities
• Fight racism in the workplace
• Make the university family-friendly
• Support international scholars
• Fight climate change

Since bargaining began with UAW 5810 (Postdocs), UAW 2865, and SRU, the UC has shown no interest in making these necessary changes. But by showing them that 48,000 workers are united and ready to fight, we can change that!
