The existing climate science research community severely underrepresents the global population impacted by climate change. In an effort to build a global and diverse climate science community, Climatematch Academy is building on the successful Neuromatch Academy teaching model, which provides a two-week training program with the potential to reach thousands of students worldwide. From Data to Action
Climatematch Academy is a virtual two-week program that introduces fundamentals of climate science by taking advantage of open-source and Python-based tools, to access, analyze and interpret climate data. Participants are matched based on common interests, timezone and preferred language, and receive personalized support as they work through hands-on tutorials and collaborate on course projects. Students' projects allow putting into practice the content learned through Climatematch, focusing on students' interests and/or communities.
