Our fifth grade students are set to begin one of the most loved and extremely exciting Units of Inquiry on February 3, 2021 - our business unit.  In the midst of our current situation dealing with COVID-19, we have gone to great lengths to plan for this unit in such a way that we are able to ensure students can still enjoy the key elements of our business unit with their safety remaining paramount.

This being said, it is extremely important that you select one of the following options for your fifth grader to proceed through this Unit of Inquiry.

OPTION 1
RETURN TO IN-PERSON LEARNING - COLLABORATIVE BUSINESS PROJECT
February 3, 2021 - March 11, 2021
My fifth grade student will attend classes on campus beginning February 3, 2021, and remain in-person through March 11, 2021, to be able to participate fully in the in-person Business Unit of Inquiry and enjoy developing their business with their classroom business partners preparing for Young Entrepreneurs Day on the CDS campus. Our traditional activities for our business unit are planned for on campus participation and cannot be replicated via ALP/Zooming. Students will be actively collaborating while working on this at various times throughout each day.

OPTION 2
SHARK TANK PRESENTATION - INDEPENDENT BUSINESS PROJECT
My fifth grade student will NOT return to the classroom for the Business Unit of Inquiry. I understand this means my fifth grade student will complete the Shark Tank Presentation per instructions given in class. I realize the Shark Tank project is an independent project that includes the same objectives as activities for on campus students - it just involves different activities completed independently then presented to their classmates.
