BCSC requires all coaches and gym owners to have cheer credentialing to the level they are coaching. If CITs are used and the head coach steps away, the CIT is only able to coach to the level they are credentialed.
When you choose the level you are credentialing, please take into consideration your previous certifications. If you hold an active ICU or BCCA certification (or ones that expired less than 6 months ago), you can choose to re-certify your current level or get certified to the next levels. If you have never received any cheerleading certification, you will have to start with level 1 and up to the level you seek.
During the month of July, we will send coaches the online tests after they have signed up and paid the invoice for the level(s) they wish to complete. The online tests are to be completed no later than July 31st, 2021. Throughout August, BCSC coach evaluators will contact you to schedule an in-person or online evaluation. The sessions will be held during the month of August 2021.
*New* Coaches that are credentialing to level 3 or above will need to send in their completed practical field form prior to scheduling an evaluation. Please send your practical field form to
bccacoach@gmail.comPlease note that if you have never held a coaching certification in cheerleading, you will need to formally apply for an exemption to the BCSC board if you wish to do more than level 1-3 in a single testing session.
