The Los Alamos Arts Council is proud to provide scholarships to families who request them as our funding allows. This year we have had two generous donations to our Carl Maggiore Scholarship Fund from an anonymous donor and from the Emily Bradley Memorial Fund.
Scholarships are given on a first come, first served basis. Scholarships can be requested by families, caregivers, or referring organizations for a student in need of summer camp.
This year we will provide one full (one week of camp for a single session which is either morning or afternoon). We will provide up to two partial scholarships to students at a 50% discount (one week of camp for a single session which is either morning or afternoon). We may also provide additional scholarship opportunities for students on a pay as you are able basis once each of our scholarship applicant's needs have been met and as funding allows.
Students referred for scholarships must meet the grade level criteria of our camps. We may not be able to place a student in their first choice camp but will do our best. Please provide two alternative choices for the student so that we can do our best to meet their needs.
If you would like to refer a student, and that student does not live inside your home, the student's placement will be contingent on the student's legal guardian or appointed case manager providing necessary emergency information and completing the necessary camp forms.
Once your student is approved for a scholarship, you will be given a code to apply to the camp that you selected and will then go into our camp management software to sign up for the program.
Please note that we cannot provide full scholarships for Movie Making Magic or Ceramics programs, but we do have partial scholarships available for each of those programs.
We do not ask for financial information for student's or their families. No information in this document will be shared with source outside Los Alamos Arts Council.
