Safe Families Volunteer Trainings (2023-2024)
Thank you for registering for one of our quarterly In-Person Training events this ministry year! Our staff team and other volunteer leaders can't wait to meet you or see you again!

Please see the options below for the training opportunities.

New Volunteer Onboarding Training (or Volunteers Changing Roles) includes
  • Core Training - required for all direct support volunteers (Host Family, Family Friend, Family Coach, and Ministry Leads). This training also qualifies a volunteer to serve as a Family Friend ONLY.

Ongoing Training Opportunities are for current volunteers serving in any role. We encourage all volunteers to attend at least one Ongoing Training Opportunity a year.

These will run from 9a-12p with lunch provided afterwards.
  • Cross Cultural Compassion: Bridging Cultures with Care
  • Public Narrative: Sharing your Safe Families Story
Training date and location - training will take place on Saturdays. Lunch will be provided midday for everyone registered.
