The Stop Golden Rice Network Asia, the lone asian farmers’ alliance against Golden Rice, was established in 2014 after the Asian Farmers Conference on Golden Rice Commercialization. The network was initially composed of organizations from India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Japan, and Philippines with regional and global networks advocating for the people’s right to food and development. Today, the network has expanded with members and alliances from different countries in Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and America.
