Driver's Education 2024
The purpose of Driver's Education is to teach students how to drive safely. It is not to help students pass the written driver’s test. Every effort is made to coordinate the classroom work so it can be applied in the car during driving sessions.

COST OF THE CLASS:
The fee for the course is $250 (financial aid is available to students on free/reduced lunch). A refund will only be issued if your spot can be filled by another student.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE COURSE:
1. Must be at least 14 years of age and must have LICENSE/PERMIT before driving. Students must have a 2.0 GPA to be eligible to get a permit.
2. Students will complete 10 hours of classroom, observation, and driving time.
3. All time missed due to absences must be made up before certification will be given.
4. Students must meet all the requirements of the course in order to receive a certificate for insurance discounts.

Driver's Education is a one-week, ten-hour course. Both morning and afternoon sessions are available during each session.
Five  5-day sessions will be held:
Session 1: Wednesday, June 5 - Saturday, June 8  (BHS)
Session 2: Monday, June 10 - Friday, June 14  (BHS)

On the days your student drives first, they are dismissed upon returning to school.
