Your child has expressed interest in representing the school in the Netball North Harbour College (Year 9 - 13) Competition for 2024.
Grading games commence Saturday 4th May 2024 (4 weeks of grading games followed by 9 weeks of competition including semi final and finals) with final games being played on Saturday 24th of August 2024.
VENUE Barfoot and Thompson Netball Centre, 44 Northcote Road, Takapuna
COMPETITION PLAYING DAY AND TIME
Saturday with games played anywhere between 8am and 1pm.
REQUIRED UNIFORM
AJHS Netball Dress (purchased from AJHS uniform shop $95.00) Black or navy sports brief. (No school shorts to be worn under netball dress). All students must wear sports shoes.
TRAINING
Teams will have a minimum of one training per week, which will be held on the school netball courts either before or after school. Training days and times will be advised once teams and coaches confirmed.
TRIALS
Year 9 and 10 Trials - Tuesday 27th February 2024
The trials are held on the school netball courts during the school day from 8.45am - 1pm.
All students trialing must be in PE gear and netball/sports footwear.
TRANSPORT
It is the responsibility of parent/caregivers to either transport their child to the games and trainings each week or to arrange for another parent/caregiver to transport them. The school does not provide transport for this competition.
REGISTRATION FEE
$170.00 per player for the season.
COMPULSORY ADMINISTRATION FEE
$25.00 (One off payment of $25 will be charged regardless of the number of sports played)
UMPIRE FEE:
The umpire fee is included in the registration fee.

REFUND POLICY
Once teams are named there will be no refunds of Registration Fees or the Sports Administration Fee unless an approved medical certificate is provided.

For this length of time and at this level of competition each school team requires a coach and a manager.
As a coach you will be required to take a minimum of one training per week and also be available at the games. For team training's the school's outdoor netball courts would be available for use before or after school. Our preferred training times are 7.30am - 8.30am in morning but alternatively teams can train afterschool from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.
The Manager is the point of contact between the Sports Coordinator and the team. Managers are responsible for organising the team, ensuring all players and parents/caregivers are aware of game times and trainings and ensuring the team has a person doing the scoring duty each week.
Ideally the Manager will also attend games to support the team and the coach.
All team communication will be through the TeamReach app. Details will be provided once teams are confirmed.
Without parent volunteers it is impossible for teams to participate in the competition so if you are available to assist with either role please tick the appropriate box on the form.
To ensure your child is registered for the year 9 and 10 netball competition, please complete the following form and submit by 9am Friday 23rd February 2024. Please also ensure that the deposit of $50.00 plus $25.00 Administration Fee is paid by Friday 23rd February 2024.
