Given the magnitude of climate change and the wake-up call from Covid-19, the intersection between human and  planetary health has taken center stage. The time to act to protect public health from climate change and pandemics is now.

In response, in November 2020, Health Care Without Harm - South-east Asia (HCWH-SEA) officially launched “RISE South-east Asia Alliance for Health and Climate". The alliance aims to build the prominence of the healthcare sector in rising to the climate and Covid-19 challenges and building a healthy, just and resilient South-east Asia.

In submitting this Form, I hereby sign on as a MEMBER ALLY of RISE Southeast Asia Alliance for Health and Climate and pledge my support for its mission through participation and collaboration.
The Vision, Mission, and Objectives of RISE South-east Asia Alliance:
Vision
 
Climate action, health equity, resilience and a healthy recovery are integrated and prioritized in national and regional action and policies in South-east Asia.
 
Mission
 
To build a competent, inclusive alliance of healthcare leaders to advance climate action, health equity, resilience and a healthy recovery in South-east Asia.
 
Objectives
 
1) To establish an alliance of health and climate leaders which will build the capacity and prominence of the health care sector in taking leadership on climate action and a healthy recovery in South-east Asia.
2) To develop decarbonized, environmentally sustainable, equitable and resilient health systems in the context of increasing climate change risks, and a just and healthy recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic in South-east Asia.
