The Islamic Resource Center will be hosting it's annual summer reading program which is now in its 11th year. With your help, we can encourage the children of our future to read as this summer reading program will serve as a continuation of their academic pursuit. We have designed the program with an incentive to read, each child is given a reward after reading for a certain amount of time. Children from pre K-8th grade are encouraged to participate as we have set guidelines for each age group.  

Pre K-2nd grade 1 prize for every 1 hour
3rd-5th grade 1 prize for every 3 hours
6th-8th grade 1 prize for every 5 hours

At the completion of the hours, participants receive one entry into the grand prize drawing.

After registering in person at the library or using this sheet, each child will receive a reading record to keep track of how much time they spend reading or listening to stories. Don't forget to initial your child's reading record otherwise IT WILL NOT COUNT. Also, make sure you have a staff member initial their reading record.
Reading logs are due by August 8th!
