Payment via Venmo @shakersacres or Zelle - shakers.acres.south@gmail.com to confirm your spot.  Paypal is no longer encouraged (fees are crazy!).
Cash at class is accepted as well, just let me know in the notes.

Shaker's Acres will be closed for Spring Break, March 18th - 22nd.  No Classes that week.

Important confirmation email - 
Look for an email confirming your registration and for the Farm address.
A new liability waiver is needed beginning in August - see email for correct one. 

Classes are drop off only if specified, otherwise an adult needs to stay on the property during class, or participate in the younger ages classes.

Inclement weather (storms, flooding) may cause cancellations... stay tuned to FB and email.
Excessive flooding in the fall months can cause parking issues, which may impact some classes more than others.
Classes are outdoors... appropriate footwear, clothing, and water is required.

Cancellation Policy:
A credit or a refund is offered if you contact me prior to the missed class (even that morning).  Due to high class attendance and waiting lists, I cannot offer a credit or refund for no shows after the fact.
Session Classes are not subject to refunds for missed classes.  
Cancellations by Shaker's Acres will be offered refund or credit.

Wilderness Explorers - Summer Camp

Wilderness Explorers!
Week 1 - June 17 - 21 9am - 1pm
Week 2 - June 24 - June 28 9am - 1pm


Ages 5-6, limited availability
General Ages 7- 14
Junior Counselors - ages 14-15 (reach out for information and reduced fee, approval required)
$275/ week/ camper. No sibling discounts.
Includes camp t-shirt!
Payment in Zelle, Venmo, Cash accepted, due at time of registration to secure your spot.

Join us for a fun filled week of Wilderness Exploration and Education! Build shelters, practice navigation and map making, track animals, get crafty, and work with your team to survive the WILD! Each day is a new adventure!
Camp is outdoors all day, in the Woods and on the Farm. Farm animal interactions are a daily activity. Campers must dress in cool clothes that can get dirty/ wet. Closed toed shoes are required for horse interactions. Campers must bring a packed lunch and refillable water bottle (a water refill station will be available). Sunscreen/ bug spray are welcome.
Summer storms are always a possibility in June. We reserve the right to cancel for severe weather.

Summer Camp is a drop off program. Campers are expected to exhibit respectful, responsible behaviors and follow all rules and directions. Failure to abide by the behavior standards may be cause for termination of attendance without refund.

Pickup time is 1pm, with prompt pickup appreciated. No aftercare available at this time.

Upon registration, please complete the Summer Camp Emergency Form, linked in the confirmation email.  Please include t-shirt size in Emergency Form.
Farm School at Shaker's Acres - Wednesday Sessions
Farm School is our weekly drop off class, with project based, cooperative learning opportunities. 
 Farm School strives to build a positive, growth minded community among our learners through problem solving activities, group projects, seasonal celebrations, and cooperative and competitive games.  We value and encourage persistence, personal responsibility, empathy, and sense of adventure while learning in our outdoor environment.  Farm chores are an integral part of the Farm School day, with a close interaction with the animals that live here.  Students are expected to exhibit respectful, responsible behaviors and follow all rules and directions. Failure to abide by the behavior standards may be cause for termination of attendance without refund.
Wednesday Farm School will feature Zoology, Gameschooling, and Ag Science elements. 

Ages 6- 14.  Learning activities will be both full group with mixed ages and split by age/ ability.
$300/ 6 week session
Wednesdays, 9am - 1 pm
No refunds for missed classes for Session classes.
A La Carte Class Price at $55 per day, available on a limited basis, when available.  

Session 6 - April 17 - May 22

 Farm School is our weekly drop off class, with project based, cooperative learning opportunities.

Thursday Farm School will feature US History, Creative Expression, and Ag Science elements. 

Ages 6- 14.  Learning activities will be both full group with mixed ages and split by age/ ability.

A La Carte Class Price at $55 per day, available on a limited basis, when available.  

Session 6 - April 18- May 23

Art on the Farm - Kinder Clay
Alternate Tuesdays, 9am. 
ages 3-6, flexible
9am-10:30am
$15 per student.

Kinder Clay features a children's story and a guided clay project, to be glazed and fired. This class is best for ages 3-6, and with a participating parent. Mommy and me style. Clay work will be fired and can be picked up after 2 weeks. Visit includes animal feeding/ petting in beginning.
Art on the Farm - Clay for All
Alternate Tuesdays
ages 7+ 
11am - 12:30pm
 $20 per student  

Clay For All A new project each class!  Clay projects are designed to satisfy the age range, and use handbuilding techniques such as coil, slab, sculpting, puzzling, and more. Ceramic works must be kiln fired, so are not taken home the same day.  Independent ideas and interests are encouraged.
Not a drop off class, parents stay on premises.
Science on the Farm
Select Tuesdays, monthly
ages 5 - 8, flexible
9am - 10:30am
$20 per student

March class is on a MONDAY.
Science on the Farm.  Join us as we explore the amazing world of animals!  Science is best when we get messy and active, and there is no place better to explore Science than outdoors, on the Farm!
This class is mommy and me style for younger learners, with more independence an option for older learners. 
Class includes animal visit and feeding.

Art on the Farm - Adult/ Teen Clay
Saturdays, 9 am.  Adults/ Teens.  $20 per student, per class.  *************************  Adult Clay class is a choose your own project style, with available instruction specific to your project choice.

Join us on the Farm as we explore the world inside the Hive!  See honey bees up close in our observation hive, try on bee keeper gear, learn about the life cycle and jobs of the honey bee, hand roll a beeswax candle, taste honey and appreciate this incredible insect that is so important to our food supply.
