Minnesota Author Project 2022 Judges
Who: Minnesota libraries are seeking judges for the 5th annual Minnesota Author Project, including educators, booksellers, librarians, and others who know and love books. MN Writes MN Reads is seeking to expand diversity in the pool of judges. Judges are selected from across the state to include a diversity of professional experience, educational background, ethnicity, age, and gender.

What: Judges will help select the best indie-published eBooks from across the state. Prizes will be awarded in the following categories: Adult Fiction, Young Adult, and Communities Create.

When: Judges will read entries mid-May through September.

Why: To help recognize the best indie-published authors and community creations across the state!

How: Library staff can volunteer themselves or nominate someone else in their community who they think would make a great judge. If you are nominating someone else, MN Writes MN Reads will reach out to them and ask them if they are willing to serve as a judge.

Judges read around ten titles. Judges will read submissions on the BiblioBoard platform and will receive training via webinar on Tue, Apr 12 @ 3:00 or Fri, Apr 15 @ 10:00 AM.

Fill out the form if you'd like to be a judge! Let us know if you prefer to read Adult Fiction, Young Adult Fiction, or Communities Create titles – we’ll do our best to match you with your preference.
