Aviary Bookings Request Form
Please include as much detail as possible as it makes the booking process faster. We will get back to you with a cost estimate and which date works for our gym/monitors. Email bookings@ubc-aviary.com if you have any questions. 

FAQ:
  • A minimum of 2 hours for a booking is recommended as it takes time to set up equipment and to explain gym rules, particularly if your group has not climbed before. 
  • Rental shoes/harnesses/belay devices are included in the booking fee. 
  • We can provide belayers to manage the ropes, but this will come at a fee of $25 per hour per belayer. 
  • We can waive certain fees if your booking is for a UBC-affiliated group or for other extenuating circumstances. Reach out to our volunteers (bookings@ubc-aviary.com) if you have questions.

Note that we only accept bookings that are at least 2 weeks away from the form submission date.

Flexibility is appreciated as our gym is run by volunteers,  so there is not always someone who can open the gym and monitor the booking.

Note that we have a maximum of 12 people per booking.

We cannot accept climbers younger than 16 years old as we do not have appropriately sized equipment for them.

Do you require belayers? If yes, how many?

Belayers are people provided by the Aviary who manage the ropes for climbers. You must have belayers if your participants do not know how to climb.

The Aviary can provide a maximum of 4 belayers per hour, at a cost of $25 per hour.
