As we embark on developing new and improved California "community models" for seismic hazard assessment, we invite you to share information on existing models and datasets that could be valuable inclusions. This survey aims to collect a comprehensive inventory of such resources, aiding the earthquake science community in building robust and informative models for California.
The community models will integrate knowledge and describe a wide range of features in the California lithosphere and asthenosphere that influence seismic activity. These datasets and models could include: geologic models, fault models, rheology and thermal models, stress models, seismic velocity models, geodetic models and others.
We also invite you to join the discussion and planning on March 4-5, 2024 at the online "California Community Models for Seismic Hazard Assessments Workshop." Register for the workshop at: https://www.scec.org/workshops/2024/california-community-models
Your survey input by February 29th will shape workshop discussions.
