Northwest Bakersfield Baseball (Non Profit Youth Park) is seeking a hardworking and reliable Groundskeeper to join our team! In this full-time position, you will be responsible for the care and maintenance of our 12 baseball fields at our facility.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe and attractive playing surface for all fields, including mowing, edging, lining, and dragging
- Perform regular maintenance on sprinkler systems, including troubleshooting and repairs
- Address field imperfections by raking, infielding, and core aeration
- Maintain all groundskeeping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and edgers
- Remove debris and litter from fields and surrounding areas
- Perform minor repairs on fences, dugouts, and other field features
- Oversee winterization and spring preparation of the fields
- May assist with special events held at the facility
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of landscaping principles and practices
- Experience maintaining athletic fields (baseball field experience a plus)
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining groundskeeping equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic with a commitment to quality and safety
- Valid driver's license
Pay: $16.00 plus OT when needed and approved by President or Vice President. This position does not come with benefits by Northwest Bakersfield Baseball.
Knowledge of sprinkler systems and general maintenance is a requirement.
