UniCS PR team is opening applications for the Newsletter team. The main objective of the Newsletter team is to work together on producing a monthly newsletter which will cover things such as: events, upcoming events, current developments in CS (and AI!), research (from lecturers and researchers on campus), and much more.
As a team member, your main job includes (but not limited to):
- Attending events and taking notes on what the event was about, how the event went, etc.
- Setting up meetings/interviews with staff/researchers to discuss their current research.
- Writing and proofreading paragraphs.
- Taking pictures of events (or anything relevant to the topic you're covering).
- Arranging the newsletter using Canva.
- Doing some research on new developments in the field of CS.
Since the newsletter is set to have an issue every month, the team will have around 20-25 days to have the newsletter ready before release on the 1st of every month. You will be working in a team and will not be expected to do all the tasks by yourself. UniCS has an
issue released, this would help you get an idea of what is expected.
