GLOBE Snow Depth data entry
Enter your snow depth data here.

Dear Parents: Entering your snow depth data is voluntary. By entering your snow data you will be sharing it with the GLOBE-Alaska partnership at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. The data is included in an international database that tracks our environment around the world and is used to ground-truth NASA satellites, detect changes in the amount of snow, and other investigations of our environment. You can learn more about GLOBE at www.globe.gov.  If you are uncomfortable with sharing your location data, please do not fill out this data reporting form, or use the address of your nearest school.

Note: The GLOBE protocol measures snow depth in millimeters. This protocol was adapted for early primary grade students in mind, and the understanding that it is very difficult for very young and adult scientists alike to measure snow depth to the millimeter. If you would like to enter the data directly to the GLOBE database or receive further training in GLOBE, please contact GLOBE Alaska, ebsparrow@alaska.edu.
