Zoom Summer 2020 Workshops:  for dancers  ages 10 and up.
Vykrtuas presents, Anna Kanevets, Dance Director of Viter Ukrainian Dancers and Folk Choir, Edmonton, AB and Vasyl Kanevets, Artistic Director of Vykrtuas School of Ukrainian Dance and Ensemble, Calgary, AB for this unique one of a kind opportunity to study the regions of Ukrainian Folk Dance in this advanced online class.

Immerse yourself in the history, costumes and choreography of each region and participate in intensive dance instruction on region focused steps and combinations.  A great way to learn more about the regions of Ukrainian dance you love and maintain your training at the higher levels of Ukrainian dance this summer.

Class may be split in two, to create an older age level depending on the ages and number of registrants joining our 2020 summer intensive training session.

We have updated our class dates and they differ from our advertising.
Classes have shifted one week back.

Regions of Ukraine Workshops offered:
Central Ukraine and Bukovyna - July 13 - 22
Transcarpathian and Hutzul - July 27 - August 5th
Volyn and Podillia - August 10 - 20

Workshops Details:  Each regional workshop is 2 weeks in length with classes twice a week (Monday and Wednesday) for 2 hours.

Each class is 1.5 hours of steps and combinations
followed by a 30 minute lecture about the history, costumes and choreography of the region.  

Virtual Vykrutas:  2020 Regional Ukrainian Dance Workshops for advanced dancers 13 years and up.  1 hour and 30 mins dance training + 30 min lecture, twice a week.

E transfer notes should include: (dancer's name and number of sessions).  Running dance workshops online and in person are dependent on the number of participants.  Please feel free to share this opportunity with your friends and relatives across Canada to participate. We can not offer refunds for partly attended classes. We reserve the right to divide over capacity classes in two or more or group this session with younger dancers to make the workshop feasible. Upon payment we will send the entry code of the "set up class" held on Monday 11:15 am mountain standard time, the first day of each session. We will then email you the link to the "first class" at the end of this meeting.
