To provide professional guidance that will contribute to the development of a Centre for Advanced Learning (CAL) course in particular topic area/s. Information gathered will inform the specifications of a course to be tendered and may also inform other educational platforms as identified. Time commitment for participants will involve preparation for and attendance at a ZOOM discussion group meeting.
Primary Functions:
1. Optional: Participants of the discussion group (DG) will be offered the opportunity to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) should they also wish to be a peer reviewer during the course development process.
2. Participating in the DG is a voluntary position, unless otherwise employed by the DA.
3. The role of the DG is to:
a. Identify any gaps in knowledge and/or practical skills within an area/s of dietetic practice.
b. Advise on course topics and key focus points which would build practitioner knowledge and capacity.
c. Highlight any advancements in the literature and/or technology.
Discussion Group Meeting:
The Discussion Group will meet on one occasion via ZOOM to provide input into course content. Participants will be informed whether additional meetings are needed and participation in these additional meetings will be at the time capacity and discretion of the participant.
Conflict of Interest
Participants are required to declare any Conflict of Interest prior to the group meeting. The Discussion Group Facilitator will resolve whether or not such a declaration means that the member concerned can still participate in any discussion on the issue for which the Conflict of Interest is relevant. Conflicts of Interest can be real or perceived.
