AN IMPORTANT STATEMENT FROM BALLET IN THE CITY--

Ballet in the City Stewards will be selected through a process; the first step of which is an application.  Selected applicants will then move on to a second step.

BIC's definition of Stewardship is specific to its mission and commitment to its growth and success:

The City Stewards Program will focus on personalized opportunities for engagement and leadership, specifically catered to both young dancers, adult dancers and professional dancers.

The City Stewards Program will focus on participation. As Ballet in the City is a nonprofit organization based on education and interactive programming, the main priority for its City Stewards is for these individuals to be actively engaged in various ways. Ballet in the City will work closely with each City Steward to provide personalized opportunities to further growth and artistry in their personal dance journeys as well as for the Steward to develop BIC’s mission in their city and beyond.

The City Stewards Program will consist of a smaller group of exceptional, committed individuals. All ages are desired and welcome, but City Stewards will be relied upon to fundraise, actively participate in Ballet in the City initiatives and events, and to take a leadership role in furthering the mission of the organization. In response, Ballet in the City will offer its City Stewards opportunities for networking, professional connections and development, free classes, teaching opportunities, and much more.
