The Australian Senior National Team will be attending the Hong Kong Senior Asian Open on the 25 and 26 November 2023. The athletes will be supported by one of the Senior National Coaches for this event. Judo Australia is calling for Expression of Interest from Senior and final year Junior Australian athletes who would like to gain international experience but not currently categorised or are part of the NPC program. This is a self-funded event and applicants are required to meet the conditions below. The closing date to express interest for this event is Friday, 20 October 2023.

To be eligible to attend the Hong Kong Senior Asian Open, an Athlete must satisfy the following requirements:
 be an Australian citizen and hold a current Australian passport;
 be in the top three on the Senior National Points Table and has won a medal at the 2023 National
       Championships and/or the 2023 National Event Series;
 be a financial member of and be in good standing with JA and the Combat Institute of Australia
       (CombatAUS);
 have signed the current JA Team Member Agreement;
 not by their actions or omissions brought themselves, JA, CombatAUS, or the Team into disrepute or
       censure;
 be at least 1st Dan, black belt; and
 hold a valid IJF ID Card.

Entries and accommodation bookings must be completed by Judo Australia. Flight bookings may be done by the athletes.
