DESCRIPTION:
Here’s a chance to gain insights and ideas about the new Minnesota anchor standards and music benchmarks, then consider various frameworks to organize them into a personal and usable curriculum plan. This workshop is organized into two parts with a break.
PART 1: STANDARDS OVERVIEW. FOUNDATIONS–CREATE–PERFORM–RESPOND–CONNECT. Together, we will examine the anchor standards, processes, and grade-level music benchmarks in various formats.
PART 2: TOOLS AND STRUCTURES. Consider ideas for assessment, student choice/voice, and Social Emotional Learning. Check out several mapping structures that can be tweaked or revised to fit your district’s requirements or make your personal plan.
