Cox Mill Band Students/Parents,

Students who play the following instruments: Oboe, Bassoon, Bass Clarinet, Tenor Saxophone, Bari Saxophone, Horn, Euphonium, Tuba and percussion, have the option of renting an instrument through the school OR renting/purchasing their own instrument through Music and Arts. Piccolo, Eb Clarinet, Soprano Sax, Contrabass Clarinet, and Upright Bass will be assigned by Mr.Singer to students wishing to pursue these options.

We HIGHLY encourage students renting school owned instrument to provide their own mouthpiece. We do have very few mouthpieces available but the conditions are not great. Please contact Mr. Singer if you need help choosing a new mouthpiece.

Rental fees are by semester. $25.00 per instrument per semester and students must provide their own accessaries including: (Woodwinds) ligatures, reeds (3 size reeds or higher), neck straps, cork grease, key oil. (Brass) valve or rotor oil, and cleaning swabs. Tubas and Horns will need Rotor Oil. Percussion will be required to have their own pair of drum sticks and a practice pad. Recommenced Drum Stick is Vic Firth SD1. Percussion will have access to all percussion instruments. Parents will be required to sign this rental agreement and students are responsible for the care and maintenance of the instrument, as well as, financially responsible for any damage beyond normal wear and tear.
**If a financial hardship prevents you from being able to provide the necessary supplies for your child PLEASE reach out to me. Music should always be available to ALL students and families no matter the circumstances!

Please Note: The District and/or School is not responsible for instruments left on the school bus, individual student lockers, or unsecured facilities.

Student: In consideration of the Cox Mill High School band releasing the school owned equipment, I agree to take full responsibility for the care of the instrument described, including loss or damage to the instrument beyond normal wear and tear during the 2021-2022 Academic Year. I understand that I will be responsible to pay for any damage to the instrument. I also understand that if the instrument is not returned to the school at the end of the semester, I will be obligated to pay the replacement cost of the instrument. *
