Hospitality Day at the Capitol Schedule
  • 1:00 p.m. - Arrive at the Senate Caucus Chamber - Room 535 (Oklahoma State Capitol, 2300 N. Lincoln Blvd., OKC, OK 73105): Upon arrival, association staff will provide members with a copy of the Issue Briefing document which they may review prior to the actual briefing session. New this year, members will get to hear from Lt. Governor Matt Pinnell, Senate President Pro Tem Greg Treat, and Speaker of the House Charles McCall. 
  • 1:30 p.m. - Welcome Comments
  • 1:45 p.m. - Lt. Governor Matt Pinnell addresses ORA / OHLA / OTIA with Q&A Session
  • 2:00 p.m. - Senate President Pro Tem Greg Treat addresses ORA / OHLA / OTIA with Q&A Session
  • 2:15 p.m. - House Speaker Charles McCall addresses ORA / OHLA / OTIA with Q&A Session
  • 2:30 p.m. - Best Practices when Visiting with Legislators by ORA CEO James Leewright
  • 2:40 p.m. - Issue Briefing and Talking Notes with James Leewright and Julia Jernigan
  • 2:55 p.m. - Break into Groups: James and Julia will break members up based on Legislative Districts. 
  • 3:15 p.m. - Visit Legislators: Members will travel to the designated Chamber and talk to their assigned Legislator
  • 4:25 p.m. - Return to Senate Caucus Chamber - Room 535 
  • 4:25 p.m. - Debriefing: James Leewright and Julia Jernigan will debrief the Legislator visits and review feedback
  • 4:35 p.m. - Release for "A Tasteful Affair" Legislative Reception (To be held at the Embassy Suites OKC Downtown Medical Center, 741 N Phillips Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73104)
  • 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. - “A Tasteful Affair” Legislative Reception ($75/ticket): During the largest and best-attended legislative reception in the state, members have the opportunity to establish new relationships and strengthen existing ties while connecting on important issues. Join us and take advantage of the opportunity to gain access to some of Oklahoma's most influential policymakers while enjoying culinary tastings of Oklahoma’s best restaurants and Oklahoma craft beers!
