laure.guillevic@feam.euThis workshop is organised in the context of PERISCOPE*, which stands for Pan-European Response to the Impacts of COVID-19 and future Pandemics and Epidemics. This European research project aims to shed light on the broad socio-economic and behavioural impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, to make Europe more resilient and prepared for future large-scale risks.
In this workshop, five partners – Mental Health Europe, Karolinska Institute, London School of Economics and Political Science, French National Institute of Health and Medical Research, and University of Ghent –, coordinated by the Federation of European Academies of Medicine, will present and discuss the main findings of the research on the health inequalities impacts in the context of COVID-19 and policy measures in response to the pandemic.
In order to enrich the final interim report, we are also seeking feedback from participants, who will be invited to choose one of four breakout rooms on the following topics: (1) inequalities in COVID-19 health outcomes; (2) mental health inequalities; (3) inequalities in access to healthcare; and (4) vaccine inequalities.
We thank you for your interest and we are looking forward to this fruitful discussion.
*PERISCOPE project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation programme, under the Grant Agreement number 101016233.
