Huntington Woods Doubles Tennis Competition  Sept 26, 2021
Location: Huntington Woods Parks and Rec,
on Scotia south of 11 Mile
 
All groups will be non-elimination. Each doubles team will play between 3 and 5 matches. They will spend most of the time on court playing, with minimal down time. 4 divisions, lower divisions have simplified serving and scoring. Need a partner? Just register and we will help find one for you.

9-10:30 Red Ball, recommended age 5-8yrs, 36 foot court, simplified serving and scoring.  If you can count to 7, you can keep score for this one. $8/player ($16/team)

10:30-12:30 Green Ball, recommended age 7-13yrs. Full court but simplified serving and scoring. If your child can count to 7, they can keep score in this event.  $12/player ($24/team)

12:30-3pm Yellow Ball, beginner level, recommended age 10yrs-adult (Adults are welcome in this group).  regular court, regular balls, traditional no-ad scoring. Players must be able to keep score on their own. They must be able to serve into the correct box with some reliability. But they cannot reliably hit with topspin nor serve with a continental grip. USTA level would be weak 2.5 or below. $15/player  ($30/team)

3-5:30pm Yellow Ball, recommended age 12yrs through adult (Adults are welcome in this group), advanced beginner, regular court, regular balls, traditional no-ad scoring. Players must be able to keep score on their own. Players can hit topspin groundstrokes with some reliability and are beginning to learn continental grip skills. USTA level would be 2.5 up to 3.5. $15/player ($30/team)
