Spring Term Super Saturdays - Year 5
Camborne Science and International Academy are proud to announce our Super Saturday Spring Term Programme for Year 5 students. We are delighted to offer a diverse range of inspirational, creative and challenging sessions, across the range of subjects at CSIA.
All of the sessions are open to students in Year 5. Once you have filled in the form below you will have registered and you will have secured a place. Prior to the workshop, you will also receive an email detailing further arrangements for the morning.
Saturday 29th January. The Other Side of the Canvas
Pictures and paintings spend all day being ogled and looked at, but have you ever wondered what they see in a day? Come with team English for a gallery walk, and create your own piece of descriptive writing from the perspective of a painting in a gallery! Watch the world go by, and paint what you see with words.
Saturday 12th February. A Taste of France (Un goût de la France)
Celebrate Pancake Day with the languages department! Discover the French festival of La Chandeleur and learn all of the vocabulary you need to create your very own French pancake recipe.
Saturday 5th March. Camborne Sporting Stars
Do you see yourself as the next Camborne Sports star? We are going to be having a go at a whole host of different sports including football, basketball, hockey and lacrosse! You will learn some amazing new skills as well as making some new friends!
Saturday 19th March. Easter Treats
Let’s get cooking and create some delicious Easter foodie goodies. You will have the chance to bake and practise your icing skills by decorating your own Easter cupcakes.

2nd April. Wonderful Willy Wonka Workshop
Gain an insight into the magical world of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. Your mission will be to solve the clues and guide yourselves to the lost golden tickets! Are you up for the challenge? Will you achieve your mission before the time runs out?
