Fine Arts Scholarship Contest Submission
Thank you for your interest in submitting an essay for the Maroon 9 Fine Arts Scholarship Contest. The deadline to submit an essay is Wednesday, March 31, 2021. All applicants must be high school seniors planning to attend a Historically Black College or University and planning to study one of the fine arts genres.

Essays will be scored on spelling, grammatical errors, punctuation, word choice, and sentence structure. Essays are required to be a maximum of 300-500 words and must answer the following two questions:  
Question 1: How has participating in Fine Arts impacted your life?  
Question 2: Why is attending a Historically Black College & University important to you?

The scholarship essay winner will be notified by email by April 9 and will be requested to read their essay at the virtual Fine Arts Competition on April 10.  The winner will have to show proof of their college enrollment by July 31, 2021 to receive the $500.00 scholarship award.
