Due to increased interest in youth tackle football from our area and the struggle of finding games for our flag football program, we are looking to establish a tackle football program under Nodaway Valley Thunder. We plan to register a team in the Pride of Iowa Youth Football League (POIYFL) under the 8-man program, which currently has 8 teams from Southwest Iowa to Northwest Missouri enrolled. West Nodaway will be host to this program for game days, along with practices. This is huge commitment, so we plan to utilize one location for simplicity purposes.
Our goal is to create a program for future 5th, 6th and possibly 4th grade BOYS and GIRLS from the West Nodaway and Nodaway Holt schools. In order to get an idea of how many participates we might possibly have, we have created this survey to provide us with estimated numbers for this coming fall as well as the future of this program. Again, this will require a large devotion from current and future youth, so we want to assure that we will obtain consistent interest for potential players.
This program will not build success without the help from parent involvement. Please let us know below if you would be interested in volunteering as a coach, committee chair, or a committee member. This program will rely on the collaboration and support from parents and community of both schools. We are looking forward to launching a new opportunity that will allow our youth the opportunity to build foundational skills that will enhance their future performance of 8-man football.
This survey is expanded to reach youth from preschool to current 5th graders. This survey is NOT a registration to our program or an obligation to ANY committee or volunteer duty, but more a way for us to collect data of those interested in the investment of this program both youth and adults.
