Introduction
Alex San Emeterio Arenaza and Dr. Seamus Kelly are undertaking a research project to explore aspects of trust in football. You are being asked to participate in the above research study and were selected because of your knowledge and expertise in the aforementioned relationship. Please read this form and ask any questions that you may have before agreeing to be in the study.
Purpose of Study
The aim of this research is to explore your understanding and application of the psychological factor of trust in football. This research explores the ways in which owners and supporters interact and how the decision-making of club owners can either positively or negatively affect the level of trust that exists between these two groups.
Study Procedures
Your participation in this research involves taking part in a questionnaire. After the questionnaire you will be sent a copy of the transcribed questionnaire and results for validation.
Confidentiality
Your personal identity will be completely anonymous, and any information collected will remain confidential. The questionnaire transcripts will be stored indefinitely on the supervisor’s private computer and all electronic information will be secured using password protection. Nobody, other than the researchers will have access to the questionnaire transcripts. Results obtained from this study may be published in scientific journals, but your identity will remain confidential.
Right to Refuse or Withdraw
Your participation in this study is voluntary (your choice). You may refuse to take part in the study at any time without affecting your relationship with the researcher or your employers. You have the right not to answer any question, as well as to withdraw completely from the research at any point during the research process.
Right to Ask Questions and Report Concerns
You have the right to ask questions about this research study and to have those questions answered by the researcher before, during or after the research.
