We are looking for committed ISU Engineering, Math, or Statistics graduate/undergraduate student, postdoc, or faculty/staff volunteers with a passion for mathematics who are willing to help tutor 3rd - 8th grade students weekly for at least one-two semesters. In person tutoring sessions are
Tuesdays and Thursdays 2:45 - 4:00 pm at Sawyer Elementary School, online Zoom sessions are Thursday 4:30 - 5:30 and Saturday 10:00 - 12:00 pm.
We are especially looking for Saturday tutors for middle schoolers (Grades 6 - 8). This session will also be for an hour between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm (usually the hour of 10 - 11). These sessions will be on Zoom for three weeks out of the month and at Coover Hall for one Saturday per month. In person sessions will be March 8th and (tentatively) April 19th and May 3rd.
No prior experience is needed. Time commitment: ~ 2 hours per week if commuting to Sawyer and 1 hour per week if Zoom teaching.
