The Direct Action Support Team (DAST) is a group of trained volunteers who support actions or protests as accomplices (ex: marshals, witnesses, legal watch, perimeter guards, etc.) lead by leaders of color. As DAST volunteers, we commit to be 1.) Accountable to leadership of color 2.) Responsive to calls within 24 hours- even if to say 'no'. 3.) Open to feedback. 4.) Willing to make ourselves available with minimal notice. 5.) Support a minimum of four events per year. If you would like to join this team and are ready to commit  to this work, please fill out the below application.
The Denver SURJ is excited that you are interested in joining our Direct Action Support Team! Please submit this application by midnight on January 4, 2020.
**Training Information**
Saturday, January 25th
9am - 5pm
Location provided upon acceptance
Light breakfast and full lunch provided

There is a suggested $20 - 50 sliding scale donation to attend the training, though no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Once you submit your application, we'll follow-up with an email notification with next steps for a phone call.
