This internship is a great opportunity to gain experience working with members of the community on media related projects. The focus of the internship will be on facilitating access to the media resources at CMAC in an effort to help members share their stories.

We have three (3) open internships for the Fall 2021 semester: marketing, programming, and production. Please review the positions before completing this application.

Marketing/Programming Internship (2 positions available)
Selected interns will work with CMAC staff with various operational tasks, including but not limited to:
- Assisting with social media and marketing efforts, including planning, building, and scheduling social media content and weekly newsletters
- Work with the marketing team to develop new strategies for engagement, both online and in-person
- Helping to organize community events
- Assisting with programming efforts, including gathering, organizing, and scheduling content for our three cable channels and online platforms
- Assisting with the setup, scheduling, and monitoring of live streams
- Work with the programming team to curate content from community producers
- Produce unique content for CMAC channels and online platforms
- Other media center-specific duties as needed

Production Intern (1 position available)
Selected interns will work with CMAC staff with various operational tasks, including but not limited to:
- Create videos and podcasts with CMAC staff, including pre-production (planning, writing, and scheduling), production (filming, lighting, and recording audio) & post-production (data management, editing, graphics, and sound mixing)
- Assist CMAC staff on client productions in various crew positions
- Help host CMAC online workshops
- Help check out and check in equipment to CMAC members
- Other media center-specific duties as needed

All interns will be asked to complete CMAC workshops/training and produce a short PSA about the importance of community media.

This is a paid internship for the Fall 2021 semester. Scheduling is flexible and may require weekend availability.
