Library Contract - 2019-2020
My child and I have discussed the guidelines for library borrowing and book care in  this contract. We have read and understand the following rules and regulations of the TCCS Library:

1. We agree to honor and respect all Library materials.

2. We understand that all materials borrowed from the library are to be returned on time and are to be returned in the same condition they were in when borrowed.

3. We understand that all borrowed materials are our responsibility until they are returned to the Library.

4. We understand that we must pay a replacement charge for the cost and processing of any library item that is damaged or lost, and that no books may be borrowed until the charge has been paid.

We have read this Contract together, and agree to its terms. We understand that this Contract will remain in effect throughout our time at the school, and until all borrowed Library materials are returned.

 How to Care for Books
Always store books in a safe place, away from pets.
Books should be handled with clean, dry hands.
Transport your book to and from school in a protective bag. Keep it safe from leaks or spills in your backpack.
Never write in a library book.
Never cut out parts of a library book.
Never glue something into a library book.
Always use a book mark, never fold corners.
Be gentle!

TCCS Library Borrowing Privileges
The 2019-20 school year will begin with a 1-for-1 borrowing policy. This means that students in all grades will be able to check out one library item per week. A student must return a library item in order to check out another.  If a student has an overdue book, he or she will not be allowed to check out until the item is returned. If there are special circumstances for an overdue book, parents/guardians should email mssarabiasemail@gmail.com or speak with me about the item.

Circulation Rules
1. Each student is responsible for the care of any books checked out in his or her name. Please note that if students trade library books, the responsibility for the book remains with the person who originally checked it out.
2. Lost Materials: If a library item is lost, the patron will be requested to pay a replacement cost.
3. Payment: Please contact me for payment information.

Communication
The primary means of communication from the TCCS Library will be via email. Parents/guardians will receive automated emails regarding the status of student library accounts. Please ensure that you include your email on the contract.
