Webinar RSVP: Replacing Massachusetts peaker power plants with energy storage
Join a webinar with PSE Healthy Energy hosted by Toxics Action Center:

Massachusetts has set a target to adopt 1,000 MWh of energy storage by 2025, providing an opportunity to displace polluting power plants on the electric grid with this energy storage.  In this webinar, we will provide an overview of energy storage and its role on the grid, and then share our analysis of peaker power plants in Massachusetts. We will look specifically at historic pollutant emissions from these plants, how they have operated, and the demographics of nearby populations, and using these data discuss where the deployment of energy storage and solar to displace these plants might provide the greatest health, environment and equity benefits. We will also walk through our new interactive data visualization of Massachusetts peaker plants, allowing individuals to explore these data in depth for plants in their communities and across Massachusetts.

January 15th, 7pm - 8pm
