Thank you for your interest in serving as a volunteer in the Norman Public School District. Volunteers make a significant difference and expand learning opportunities for our students. The safety, security and privacy of our students and staff are of utmost importance. The following agreement is to establish guidelines around the important work of our volunteers and serves as a safety net for both our schools and our volunteers. Volunteer agreements are valid for two years and must be submitted biannually.

I understand that based upon the level of my volunteer responsibilities, the school district will determine if background screening is necessary. This background screening may include obtaining information from a reporting agency that may include information concerning my criminal history. If it is determined that background screening is necessary for my volunteer responsibility, I will be asked to give consent and provide additional information to the district to conduct the applicable screening. This is a confidential process. *
