sing | connect | inspire

Welcome to the Grand Philharmonic Youth Choir 2022-23 Season.

We are now accepting singers who are ready to sing together, connect with music and friends and inspire our community. Please fill out this form to let us know you are READY to join in the singing.

Do invite your friends to join you!

The GPYC is made up of singers ages 14 (entering grade 9) to age 23.

TUESDAYS 7pm - 9pm  **NOTE this is a change

LOCATION: Kitchener Waterloo Musical Productions building; 14 Shaftsbury Dr, Kitchener, ON N2A 1N5

Rehearsals are in person, on Tuesday evenings.

We have a wonderful season planned, including a joint concert in October with the Meadowlands Corps Band, on stage at the Centre In The Square with the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony for Yuletide Spectacular (December) and The Magical World of Harry Potter (February), retreats and workshops, and a first-class music education -- all in a fun and welcoming environment! Youth singers will also join our children's and adult choirs May 28 2023 for the extraordinary season finale concert of our 100th anniversary.

For the protection of all, we require all of our singers, conductors and collaborative pianists to have received two doses of a valid COVID-19 vaccine. We will make arrangements to review the vaccine receipts before the first rehearsal. If you have questions about our vaccine policy, please be in touch with Luisa D'Amato, executive director, at executive@grandphilchoir.com.

If public health regulations change during the season, we will adapt our programming as necessary.

Some internet based activities may also be incorporated into our season, so access to an electronic device capable of running Zoom and a reliable internet connection is needed.

At the end of this form payment will NOT be required but an invoice will be sent via email later in the summer for you to complete your registration. Tuition is $600 per singer ($550 for additional singers in same family). A $200 tax receipt will be issued for each registration. Spirit wear and other mandatory choir items will be invoiced separately.

Families that are unable to make the full payment may be eligible for a bursary. If you would like to be considered, please contact Luisa D'Amato, executive director, at executive@grandphilchoir.com.
