Family Promise of Missoula, a program of Missoula Interfaith Collaborative, collaborates with the YWCA to help run the Family Housing Center at the Meadowlark. The Family Housing Center provides support and housing for families experiencing homelessness.
Family Promise offers many volunteer opportunities. Congregations and other organizations in Missoula usually take a week 4 times a year to assist with providing salads and desserts, gas and gift cards, serving dinner, working as an evening host, and doing laundry.
ON CALL VOLUNTEERS- be "on call" support organizations or assist in a Network Week.
FAMILY FUN VOLUNTEERS- We are also looking for volunteers (children and youth with adult supervision are welcome!) to support activities engaging with children and their families. YWCA Youth Advocates are available for support for these activities.
Note: Background Check policy: Because the Family Housing Center is a secure facility, on-site volunteers (serving dinner, evening host, laundry, family fun volunteers) must have pass a background check. Information about how to a background check will be provided when you signup.
