Student and Parent Behavioral Policy
Delaware Center for Dance stands firmly on our no-tolerance policy for bullying and related behaviors. Delaware Center for Dance prides itself on being a positive outlet. We expect students to respect the safe space and direct their focus to bettering themselves in dance. Should any foul language occur, students will be removed from the program immediately following a conversation with parent/guardian. This will result in a complete loss of payment.
We fill our students up with love and support so that when they enter the world, they spread just that and represent our studio well.
In addition, we expect parents or guardians to lead by example. Any parent who is found discussing other students and/or parents will subject their child to removal from the program. Our only objective is dance, if students focus their time and attention on that, we believe there should be no room for other behavior.
Students are expected to immediately report incidents of bullying to DCFD staff. Students can rely on staff to promptly investigate each complaint of bullying in a thorough and confidential manner.
Our staff goes through extensive training, and we trust them to have the best interest of your students, we ask that the boundary between professional creative and parent be respected.
We teach our students professionalism and the importance of showing up prepared. We expect students to show up properly dressed for each and every class.
We ask for respect of the instructor and fellow students, and encourage conversations be limited during class time.
We ask that students practice the value of time and if they are running late for class they first check in with the desk prior to entry.
Cell phones must be kept in bags and left out of use during class time. Students will have access to phones during snack/lunch breaks. *
