Arrive at the church by 11:00am on the day you are volunteering. If you are unable to go on your assigned day,or cannot arrive by 11:00am, please call Michele (302-494-6114) as soon as possible so the team is not waitingfor you. NOTE: as the season progresses, we may begin at 9:00am. Please check with us to confirm your start time. Thank you.
Bring your lunch in a thermo pack or cooler to eat at the farm.
Bring at least two bottles of water to drink at the farm. Keep hydrated!
Wear sunscreen!
Notify Michele if you have an allergy to bees, wasps, etc. and please carry your EPI pen at all times.
Must wear closed toe shoes, such as sneakers
Follow the instructions of your team leader.
You will be allowed to take veggies home supplied to you by the team leader on the days you work the farm.
HOW WE TREAT FARMERS: we are always courteous, polite and we don’t wander around the farm.
No running or horseplay while on the farm. Remember, you are representing Bushels of Blessings.
You will be transported to the farms in a designated truck. No personal vehicles allowed on farms unless by prior approval.
