Summer School & Enrichment Programs will run during the month of July. Academic Summer School is assigned by the teachers and MANDATORY.

For Enrichment Programs, please pick the program(s) below your child would like to be a part of this summer...all students are welcome to sign-up for these programs and it will be first-come, first-serve until the seats are gone.

Enrichment Options
Band:
Are you interested in learning how to play an instrument? Would you like to play in a band with your friends? Are you interested in performing after just playing for 2 weeks? The available instruments are flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, trombone, guitar, bass, drums, xylophone, piano, and ukulele. Come jam with your friends. What a fun way to start the summer!

Chorus:
Chorus is a group of students who enjoy singing. We sing as an ensemble with opportunities for solos. All grade levels and experience are welcome!

Coding with Google:
Learning computer science skills helps students thrive in a rapidly changing world. Code with Google helps to ensure that every student has access to the collaborative, coding, and technical skills that unlock opportunities in the classroom and beyond–no matter what their future goals may be.

Gardening & Building Club:
Ms. Colon and Mr. King will be working in the school gardens to keep them productive in the summer. We will be inviting some 4 legged visitors to the school to show how they fit into the farm life. We will also build birdhouses for our feathered friends. Of course, if we are gardening and growing food, we will need to cook and eat some of our produce. Ms. Colon and Mr. King are also working on some field trips to look at larger farms and how we can incorporate those ideas into our gardens. Finally, what would a summer be without tie dying and needle felting!?!

Sports & Games:
Want to learn how to play flag football, soccer, badminton, and other fun team sports and games? Join Mrs. Williams and Ms. Trinh for Summer Sports Club! We will be staying active this summer by learning and playing all kinds of fun games and sports. All grade levels and experience welcome. Be prepared to do both indoor and outdoor activities.

Art Club:
Join Mrs. Fidrych & Mrs. Morgan for summer art camp! The first two weeks of camp will be with Mrs. Morgan. We will be using our imaginations to explore new, fun, and unusual ways to create works of art that you will get to take home. We will be exploring with both 2D and 3D materials. The second two weeks will be with Mrs. Fidrych. She will be leading a community Sculpture Project that will be placed outside in front of the school, on school grounds. The two weeks will be spent exploring community sculptures, creating sculptures and planning for and building a permanent sculpture to add to the Dr. An Wang School.
