The American Chemical Society is a huge professional group that spans the entire country (and to many other countries) and facilitates meetings between chemists and chemistry students every day. The group has many benefits for those who decide to become a national member. Our Student Chapter prioritizes creating a strong sense of community in both the YSU Chemical and Biological Sciences department and between all of our student members. We also strive to spread our love and passion for chemistry to all YSU students as well as the Youngstown community as a whole. The Chapter is comprised of a variety of majors (chemistry, biology, pre-med biology, chemical engineering, etc.) who all appreciate chemistry, want to meet their chemistry peers, and strive to educate more people on the fun of chemistry.
